Aug 22, 2013 / Kawasaki FS541V Oil Burning Question. #1. SCAG 48" WB Hydro with the Kawasaki FS541V 18 HP engine. Been a great machine but its been burning a bit of oil since I bought it. Currently have 40 hours on the machine. Its not a ton but I have had to add about `1/2 QT maybe 3/4 QT since the first oil change.Kawasaki & Kohler V-Twin Engine Alternator Charging System. Will test 3 engines. Will go over testing Stator and Regulator on two Kohler engines and one Kaw...Have a Kawasaki FS481v. Have no compression on #1 cyl. The engine has less than 40 hrs on it. I mean absolutely 0 pressure. I have even swapped new heads and the cylinders had no marks and were still shiney on top of pistons. Could something else be not working.
